(Monday February 14, 2022) EG Australia who owns and operates EG Ampol branded fuel and convenience sites, has partnered with RAA, South Australia’s largest member organization, to offer members an exclusive fuel discount.

Kicking off from today, RAA members will receive a 4 cent per litre discount on petrol or diesel fuels by showing their membership card (plastic or digital versions), with no need to purchase any other product.

The discount is available to RAA members once a day on purchases of up to 150 litres at any of the thirty-six EG Ampol outlets across South Australia and in Broken Hill.

“We’re excited to bring such a great value discount offer to RAA members.  Fuel discounts have traditionally been linked to the need to make a separate purchase.  RAA has a huge membership base so this means a big cross section of the State and Broken Hill will have the opportunity to take up our discount offer by simply being an RAA member.  It’s as simple as scanning either your digital or physical RAA membership cards at the bowser to receive,” said Poh Lee, Head of Business to Business Fuel Sales, EG Australia.

“We’re already known as great value fuel providers, and this offer really adds to that.  There are over 780,000 members and if each member filled once a week that’s over $70M in fuel savings a year, across all members,” added Poh Lee.

Through the fuel feature on the myRAA app, all South Australians can access an interactive map showing all fuel prices in real-time. The map will highlight participating EG Australia outlets, where members can access a 4 cent discount on the price shown.

“The discount will be running for the busy Easter holiday period, giving RAA members great value school holiday and Easter travel fuel. The Easter school holidays are known for their mild weather and are a peak camping and travelling period.  A lot of South Australians will be hitting the road for holidays, and we’re pleased to be able to give them extra money in their pockets for holidays via our fuel discounts.  It’s been a hard year for so many, so any savings are welcome,” said Poh Lee.

RAA Managing Director Ian Stone said the partnership with fuel retailer EG Australia is just another way of offering members more money saving opportunities.

“RAA members already enjoy discounts on a wide range of items and services, and we are delighted to see these benefits extend to savings at the fuel bowser,’’ he said.

“Our members are already saving around $30 each month through the real-time fuel pricing feature on our myRAA app, so we’re pleased to be offering yet another opportunity for members to save on fuel costs.”

“RAA is always striving to add value to our memberships and will continue to pursue opportunities to do so well into the future.’’
